Julia-roberts

Julia Fiona Roberts was born in Atlanta on the 28th of October, 1967 as the daughter of Betty Lou Bredemus and Walter Grady Roberts. Her grandfather, her great-grandfather John Pendleton Roberts, a farmer was the first Roberts to arrive in Atlanta. At an early age, her father began to take an interest in theater. As a student in Emory University he appeared in various productions both in and outside of the campus. In 1953, he enlisted in the Air Force and while stationed in Biloxi in Mississippi, he appeared in a play together with Betty Lou Bredemus. In 1955, the couple got married and in 1956 their son Eric Anthony was born. Walter was studying at Tulane University, New Orleans Louisiana. In 1957 they were discharged from the air force and Walter began studying at Tulane. In 1960 the family moved into Decatur Georgia where Walter began working with Atlanta's Academy Theater and the Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio. Walter and Betty Lou began producing a television show for children in Decatur, Georgia called Bum Bum and His Buddies. The production was funded by the couple their own. In 1964, Walter and Betty Lou founded their own organization called the Actors and Writers Workshop. It ran for about six years. They had two more youngsters Lelisa (called Lisa) Billingsley in the year 1965, and Julia (called Julie) in 1967.
